Tattoos on the head

Tattoos on the head are in style now more than ever and this is partly due to social acceptance and this is what has made tattoos more common.

Many people tend to be a little more creative than others and choose to have a non conventional design which tends to be super fun while it simultaneously reveals the artistic quality of its creator.

Going Tech

There's nothing better than having a tattoo everyone admires, most tattooed people know that's a great feeling. Some people choose having a tattoo just to have one or two but others take it more seriously and know the importance of having a tattoo that actually make sense. It is important to make sure you can actually afford what you have in mind (afford as in going to a reputable artist) and not to try doing it for a couple of bucks cause it will not come out as expected.

Lots of people enjoy having an elaborated work of art (like the ones shown in this posting) because they know how important it is to have a work of art in their body that actually people can enjoy looking at it and also can be accepted and admired by those who truly know body art.

Many people choose to have an elaborated work of art like those who get robotic parts because they like how amazing it looks, and other simple enjoy perfection instead of a tattoo that looks simple. A tattoo artist with skills developed by experience and knowledge can achieve what it takes to create such amazing work.

Artistic Expression

Continuing the theme of changes in the body and alternatives to tattoos this posting show three examples of different things that people choose as recreation, art and spiritual uplift as in the case of the suspension using hooks (like fish hooks) as shown the next photo.

Many people decide to take a course which they feel that a piercing is not enough and decided to create something unconventional and not everyone dares to do. The example is in the following picture which shows a "corset" done with multiple piercings in the back of the girl shown in the picture.

There are people who want to go a little further in terms of creativity referred to as is the case of the person who decides to inject ink (not any kind of ink) in the white of the eye which also changes the color to be permanent (as I have understood). Look at the picture below to be able to see how it was done.

Everyone has their tastes and way of expressing. To each its own.

Vintage delight

Creativity without limits.

Previously I discussed the issue of body modification as an option that other people choose to have apart of tattoos. Many people find it difficult to understand why some people decide to adopt this lifestyle which is considered body art. Many people have a vision without boundaries, and others simply live the conventional and limited (or what they call "socially acceptable") lifestyle to just see things in black and white.

The photo above and one below are two examples of scarificacion, which creates a design on the skin surface made using a sharp instrument in order to create a scar once it heals, leaving the shape of the chosen design.

Some people however prefer an implant under the skin which is acquired by making a small cut to so we can implement the necessary mold.

There are many other ideas that so many people take in order to achieve what is necessary as the example of the pictures below, in which people alter their body so creatively to express themselves.

From pointy ears to snake's tongue (below)

Tattoos and Piercing usually hold hands

Sometimes people can't decide between one and the other, why not having both?

It's hard to find people who have one or the other although there are, the vast majority of people prefer the two and the passion they have for body art have no limits. Many times there are people who just want to go out than usual and decided to go for Branding (burned in the same manner in which mark the cattle), Scarificacion (Cut to the skin with any instrument that normally would use at the time of surgery, among other things. There are many things that people decide to do with their bodies and everyone has their personal reasons.

Getting Tattooed

More recently however there has been a revival in anchor tattoos and there are many new designs that are full of brilliant colors and new design motifs for anchor tattoos. There has been a revival in more traditional tattoos. As always history, symbolism and meaning provide an interesting overlap of cultures and times. If you are thinking about getting an anchor tattoo it helps to know the background on them and do some research to find out the different meaning and symbolism of anchor tattoos. Some common designs in ankle tattoos are a tribal symbol, a floral arrangement or an initial. An ankle tattoo can be small enough that it isn’t noticeable unless the person is very close.

Many professional women choose this type of tattoo because it isn’t overbearing and at the same time it allows them to carry something personal on their bodies always. Once you have decided on a design and coloring for your ankle tattoos you’ll want to visit a reputable establishment that does tattoos. Looking through the yellow pages is one route but if you know anyone who has a tattoo you should ask them about their experience. Quite often they’ll be happy to share with you and they may recommend a place for you to visit. After deciding on a tattoo parlor you’ll want to discuss with the artist your concept. If you come there without a design in mind they will be able to show you a range of images that you can choose from. Most people prefer a smaller design for ankle tattoos and if the artist feels that yours is too large, they will work with you to bring it down to a scale that is more appropriate.
Getting a tattoo involves piercing the skin, and so there is going to be some pain involved, no matter how small the tattoo and no matter where it is on your body. The amount and type of pain experienced is highly variable depending on each individual’s tolerance to and acceptance of pain. While tattooing, the needles puncture the skin at a very fast rate and at a variable depth. The outline is usually the most painful work, because the needles are being used to create a nice solid black line that will define the tattoo, and so it is inserted deeply and carefully to ensure complete and effective coverage.

The shading is usually not as painful, but this also depends upon the depth of penetration and the desired effect. The pain you feel is generally as a slight burning or hot scratching sensation. Generally, the tattoo is more painful if applied to areas of the body where there is less muscle and fatty tissue covering bone, like wrists, ankles, chests, and other normally sensitive body areas. Upper arms are usually the least painful, while the ankles and sternum can be quite sensitive. The tattoo pain is certainly not unbearable, here are some tips for coping with and minimizing the pain: Find a reputable tattooist that you feel comfortable with to get the tattoo work done, the confidence you get from a tattooist can minimize your pain to the highest. Don’t show up drunk or on drugs. Go in with some determination and accept the fact that a few hours of discomfort without giving the tattooist a hard time will help ensure that you get a first-rate tattoo. If you feel you can’t take the pain anymore, tell your tattooist. Take a short break, or come back in a few days. Tattoos don’t have to be applied all in one sitting. Break up your session if needed. Listen to music or let your imagination go wild during the procedure, a certain degree of distraction set by your self will help you put less concentration on the pain.

Tattooed Cat?, no problem in Russia

A new trend has surfaced in Russia: cat owners getting their felines tattooed with elaborate, colorful designs. A young Russian woman, Oksana Popova, had her rare Canadian Hairless cat Mickey put under general anesthesia for three hours while an image of King Tut was etched onto the cat's chest.

The tattoo artist Anatoly Keksel performed the work at his TattoonHamon Tattoo Parlor in Russia.

It looks great on her.

Megan Fox gets Inked again.

Megan Fox has played varied characters like a gun-slinging prostitute in Jonah Hex and demonic succubus in Jennifer’s Body. But her character in forthcoming film ‘Passion Play’ is seen as the most surreal one. She gives credit to her role in the film to co-star Mickey Rourke, whom she admires so much that she engraved a tattoo for him.

About Mikey, she is all praise for the star and says that he is a perfect human being and is so genuine and sweet as well as talented. She says that he will be a great father.

She also has said that Rourke is a great person and she feels a bond with him. Her liking for Fox goes so far that she has tattoo on her body in her honor.

Fall / Winter (The best season to get Inked)

The reason is obvious.

It is kind of hard to admit how impatient we get when we get fresh Ink encrusted in the skin and sometimes people don't provide the proper care to that well deserved fresh wound we wanted so bad. Lots of people tend to pick the scab and expose directly in the sun even though they're warned not to do so, they simply want to show the newly acquired Ink and they happen not to be patient enough to wait till it heals, that's when Winter comes into mind and the reasons are obvious.

Getting tattooed during Winter works best for most people since one is forced to be all covered up and the tattoo is not exposed to the sun or harsh environment. By the time Summer arrives the Ink is ready to shine and one can proudly flaunt it at all times (well, it depends on which part of the body you had it done of course).

Is it difficult to choose an artist? Actually NO.

Choosing a good artist is not difficult at all, you just have to have a little patience.  Do a little research and try finding places with a good reputation and not just any place you come across. People might like an artist and tell you how good they think those places are but that doesn't mean you have to like that particular place.

It is a good idea to do your own research online and come up with your own conclusions about a tattoo shop or a particular artist. The next thing would be to visit the shop and experience what it feels like since you can get a vibe and decide if you like that place or not, you're always free to move to the next one. Sometimes they way a tattoo studio feels when it comes to the vibe, environment, decoration and customer service skills of their employees is very important since you're going to spend your hard earned cash.

If you have questions don't be afraid to ask, you can always receive good advice and you can also give or receive suggestions and ideas. The best thing to do when you're getting tattooed (Inked) is to make sure that particular design is what you want in order to avoid plan B which can be a cover-up tattoo.

Sometimes people are afraid of getting someones name tattooed because they wonder "what if we break up?" and that's when plan B comes in mind. There is nothing wrong with having the named of a loved one encrusted in the skin, some people simply do it and others do it but are more strategic about location or design.

The reason to allow an artist to provide advice is because as a professional can answer all questions and doubts and also to forget about the fear lots of people have "is it going to hurt?". Honestly that is something no one should actually have in mind even though it can be hard to avoid. Once a person gets the first tattoo it can become a little addictive since a few months or even weeks later you feel the need to go thru the same thrill again and again (awesome).

Tattoos for Women

Feminine tattoo designs tend to be pretty standard- butterflies, flowers, birds or cute animals, or even stars. However today, many women are expanding a bit into more universal-themed tattoos such as tribal designs, religious symbols and even realistic animals. Any of these designs would look perfect on a foot or ankle.

The most important thing when choosing the design for a foot or ankle tattoo is finding something that has some meaning to you. Think it through carefully so that you won’t regret your choice a few years down the road.

The number of choices can often be kind of daunting. Since this is a big, lasting decision you should make sure you look at lots of different options. There are tattoo galleries online that can help inspire ideas. Of course you can simply look through the available designs at your local tattoo artist. Tattoo artists tend to display their best designs, but don’t be too quick to pick a design.

Of course, you’re not limited to websites and tattoo artists to find ideas. Your ideas and inspirations can come from books or even pictures of real items and things. You might find something in a picture in a travel book or in a history text, or even in a math textbook. If you know how to draw or know someone who does, you can sketch out a design from one of these originals. Just keep your eyes open and you’ll see design ideas all around you.

In the past, ankle tattoos tended to be tiny things that were easily hidden. Today that’s just not the case. They can still be small and discreet, of course, but often those on the angle can be just as bold and striking as the tattoos on other parts of the body.

Often women tend to get ankle tattoos of things like butterflies, hearts, flowers, and cute images, but today more striking images such as Chinese characters, tribal images, and even large anime characters are becoming much more common.

A common misconception is that the ankle is a painless place to get a tattoo. If the tattoo is higher, there aren’t as many nerves, but since the skin is stretched fairly tightly over the ankle bone, the lower tattoos can be very painful.

If you want to have a tattoo that you can keep covered up on the job, an ankle tattoo might be just the thing. If it’s low enough, an ankle tattoo can be covered quite easily by socks, and higher tattoos can be covered with long pants. Again, since the tattoo is permanent, make sure you choose a placement that you’ll be able to deal with for a long time and in many different situations.

Ankle tattoos are stylish, convenient, and very versatile, so if you’re considering your first tattoo, the ankle might be the perfect place to get one. Just find a design you love then pick a specific placement that you can live with.
